New Daiwa?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

I would like to know the same , looks pretty cool but for that price it might be like the TDPRO they use to carry at bass pro.

So its a cheaper style reel? I was hoping for something to replace the SV105 (please a Pixy SV) or compete with the Bantam MGL.

After some research, this is some kind of Lew's reel mixed with something. Has the 7.5 ratio they advertise, claims DOUBLE anodized spool like they always say... The weight matches the old Pro Lite or G, one of them...

Something weird is going on there...

I can’t find any info on it whatsoever , can you provide a link ? All I see is the reel info on American Legacy.

Maybe I jumped the gun a bit on the hybrid Lew's thing, just a weird looking reel for Daiwa. Definitely something new, interested to see more...

an Lt label baitcaster.....interesting.

The composite used in the fuego is pretty good. like old ci4 non plus.

pretty cool alternative if one wants to shave weight of the fuego.

9 bearings...figure 4 in the knobs...1 at the handle base......2 on the spool...2 on the pinion????
That could mean a floating spool.
which would be a kick in the nonnies to shimanos 70 to 100$ reels.....

It made me think of Lew's, the design and bearing count does also. I would think: 4 in knobs, 1 main shaft, 1 roller bearing, 2 spool, 1 pinion, 1 levelwind. Not sure why, this reel is just odd to me.

I know they don't share and Daiwa ISN'T Doyo related, but something seems off a bit. The handle knobs are cool looking, but something doesn't set right. American Legacy Fishing isn't a bad site, but has had a few errors on site before I have noticed while hunting deals.

That gap between the handle side plate and frame. Can't unsee.

I'm sure that's not the case with the production models...

I heard this reel was at the classic. Supposedly there's another new one in the $100 range also.

At that price point, I'm not very interested, but I do like the fact that Daiwa is still looking at smaller reels. (although that reel seems to have a relatively deep spool). Maybe they have a higher end one in the works. A modern day Sol or maybe even Pixy to replace the SV105 that got discontinued!

I KNEW IT!!! Had the "Lew's" look to me, something about it, and the fact that 7.5 is a weird ratio, and the fact the Lew's always says 32mm Double Anodized Duralumin spool on their site, also a few other strange things that matched up...
