Don't own a standard Steez TW, but they are not over-braked in a Steez A and are a joy to use.
Is the 1016 you run the Zillion SV TW G1 version or the SLP/stock Steez SV TW version??? I only ask because I know they are a tad different... Been really eyeing a Steez A, but after wanting a 1012 so bad it almost makes more sense to just buy the JDM XH version and kill 2 birds with one stone... Would save me big $$$ though to just use my extra Zillion SV TW G1 1016 though and donate the G1 MagZ to another reel (or sell it).

Thanks!!! For now I plan on just using the G1 SV TW Zillion spool I have, I figure it will at least match the Zillion's casting. If not and I want to go even lighter, I plan on getting the shallow ZPI (purple of course) with 10lb fluoro.

Question in regards to the handle knobs:

The 'High Grip I Shape Light" knobs are the one from the Steez SV TW? Which reel has the "High Grip I Shape Power" installed?

Just would like to get a better reference.

Thanks.

Wish I could see the difference between the new knobs and the "power" ones mentioned. Wonder how much bigger they are, if I don't order them JDM I hope they sell those knobs when the new Tatula 100 arrives...

I've seen them. They're roughly 50% bigger as best I could tell. They are very nice

X2

Put my paws all over them at ICAST. If they are the ryoga ones, they don't look too huge or anything like that. A flatter surface to grab. The difference was only really obvious to me when I had both reels next to one another. The ryoga ones are nice. I think I'm going to stick with the smaller ones myself.

K I am already wishing I had spent $35 more from Digitaka AND saved on shipping to get a set of those knobs. Just seemed like a lot to spend when I had already bought my most expensive reel to date. Maybe those parts will become more available in the next few months...

Playing with the idea to spec out a Steez A with 8.1:1 and the 95mm Carbon handle. It says that it is not eligible for saltwater... why is that?

Also wondering if the 95mm handle with a 8.1:1 might have a negative impact on power when I would use the reel for heavy flipping and pitching.

Thoughts?

If it doesn't look too weird I am going to add a 100mm when mine comes in. The longer the handle, the more the torque, just like using a longer ratchet or wrench helps break stuck bolts loose. Your speed is decrease though because it takes slightly longer to rotate the handle around. That is why I think we still see so many 80mm and under 90mm, someone somewhere must like them, I think 90mm should always be standard and above that for high gear and high pressure situation reels...

On a weird side tangent I wonder if Daiwa SLP works would appreciate some skin billboard action ala Rob Dyrdek and Monster :-k I may be willing to Get Inked Up if I could get some free gear and promotional stuff  I believe I still have some real estate left :laugh1: anyway I don't mind The Branding on the handle so much honestly, like all things there's a time and place where we can all appreciate something like that in my opinion. We change our tastes I feel like on a drop of a dime sometimes I go on weird runs, like us all ;) For instance I can't remember which thread, but Ayo8 has a sexy Steez SV TWS with the SLP furniture, fine fine specimen! I find it interesting that they're trying to do this build your own STEEZ though, I think it's good for newer audiences, but for the snob that lurks in all of us this is lacking in any kind of novelty(13 Fishing was super advantageous already in this model IMHO?) or wow factor [-(
