EMS Shipping

Post by jwfflipper14 » Sun Sep 16, 2018 5:15 pm

How do you track a package using EMS? I ordered from Japan and the seller says my order has been shipped and a tracking number has been given but every time I used it I get the same response, just an another number comes up.

Just can't figure out what I am doing. ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Put in your 13 digit tracking number on the right side of the page.

Phippy is correct. Also, it should show up in the USPS tracking system once it reaches customs here.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Super efficient shipping with EMS. By the far the best I have ever used and the tracking is usually up to date (provided you use the destination country's tracking system once it gets to its shores).

It works, but I will say that my postal people did lose a package I was expecting...figures that I should not order anything over the Holidays starting around Thanksgiving... tracking says it went to Chicago....wrong city postal people. I need Little Canada. not Little Chicago...

I bought Stella FJ from Digitaka. Osaka - Tokyo took 6 days.
How long it will take from Tokyo to Illinois? Who knows? A week or two. I read people got they shipment
In 5 - 6 days from date of order. But they live western USA.

I order a considerable amount from Japan. Once about every 2 weeks from a wide variety of shops. What I have found, especially recently, is that once shipment by a supplier has been made (meaning it actually arrive at a shipping location) and a tracking number given, it take 2-3 days to get to LA, and then 4-7 days to get from LA to Vegas, where I live. Many Japanese suppliers, just like US suppliers can generate a tracking number before it's been dropped off at a location. Several Japanese suppliers now have disclaimers stating that you should expect delays once an item gets to LA, which has been true to form.
There are a couple of "Proshops" that tell you up front that they are in no hurry to get your package out the door, Proshop K (Tackle Japan) is a good example. With that said, they are a great source for product and I actually give them cudo's for stating that up front.
In the 25 or so trasactions through about 8 different suppliers I have been a part of this year, NONE...have been screwed up or have not arrived.

My most recent order a Daiwa SV Light TN limited was delayed in Japan for 4 days as there was a Typhoon hit Japan at the same time.

While EMS is quite OK, nothing beats DHL Express when it comes to shipping stuff from Japan to Denmark (Europe). EMS is usually more than one week and DHL is often just three days.

Your shipment may have been a little delayed due to the recent Respect the Elderly national holiday in Japan...

I normally buy from Digitaka (great shop) and if I order expensive reels I ask if they will ship by DHL (instead of EMS). They ship rods by DHL as standard, if I recall correctly.

Thanks for the replies. Reel made it to Chicago yesterday and now I am waiting for a tracking number from whoever is the next shipper. Digitaka is a great place to order from. All is good and can't wait to get my reel!
