The silver knobs give a reel an original look.

I'm gonna say it's the unported Ray's spool.Hogsticker2 wrote:What spool is this?toddmc wrote:The silver knobs give a reel an original look.

Yes, that is what it is. I wanted something more durable than the ported spool. I don't know why people buy the ported spool when the non-ported spool is less than 1 gram heavier. I've swung some big fish on this spool with no issues.adam lancia wrote:I'm gonna say it's the unported Ray's spool.Hogsticker2 wrote:What spool is this?toddmc wrote:The silver knobs give a reel an original look.

I bought the knobs for an OG Zillion that is silvered-out, but I like the way that they look on the Fuego also. I'm trying to give all of my custom reels looks that are original.soulfisher wrote:Best looking fuego I have seen!toddmc wrote:The silver knobs give a reel an original look.

The Fuego is on a custom 7' medium cranking rod. That spool is great for 1.5 squarebills. The reel also has new 6.3 TDZ gears. I'm glad that I got it back in the rotation.

Super sweet collection Barramaniac!!
How do you like that SV Light Limited? What rod do you have it on and what gram lure range do you usually throw on it? Been thinking about one.

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
haven't had a chance to use it much yet as only picked up the rod for it last week. the rod is a bit of an unknown on here as its from Singapore . its a Bone Voyage 634L BFS 6'3" 4 piece rod. I will be using this for 3 to 10 gram casting range.Aquaftm45 wrote:BARRAMANIAC wrote:My collection of Daiwa reels. Good Lord. Ive been contemplating the Steez A TW, now that the Zillion SV TW has about ruined me. And yet, I still dont really care for the TWS, but the reel itself is just soo awesome. I would imagine the Steez is noticeably better?

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
It is smoother and more refined, but I really still like my Zillion SV TW's. The gap is marginal, not because the Steez A isn't awesome, just because my Zillion SV TW's are pretty good too. The main difference I notice is that with the exact spool and same line, for some reason the Steez A TW cast further. Around 10 yards it seems. No matter how I set the Zillion SV TW (which still bombs), the Steez A casts further with the Zillion SV TW spool. I personally like the clicking drag and wonder why more freshwater low profile casting reels don't have it. From my current experience, I will probably add another Steez A. Should have 2 Steez A spools for sell then.LgMouthGambler wrote:Good Lord. Ive been contemplating the Steez A TW, now that the Zillion SV TW has about ruined me. So many sweet reels with correct side handles that I can handle it. Very nice.majayyer wrote:
