For the application, a zillion is bit too heavy. You want a reel around 6oz or less. A Steez is over budget.Hogsticker2 wrote:Sounds like he wants the T Wing feature and an SV spoolTokugawa wrote:Just go with a Pixy variant and call it a day.
Why go for the TW or necessarily the SV spool? A Pixy or Alphas variant is perfect for the application...the Alphas SV will be lighter. Pixy Type R is genius...so is an original Pixzilla.
I don't think the TW is necessary...the SV spool is a maybe.

TW is definitely not necessary, and the Alphas SV is an excellent recommendation. I'd actually get that before the Zillion. Good call.Tokugawa wrote:For the application, a zillion is bit too heavy. Re: Reel suggestions
If I may, the Zillion SV TW is really lite, and I feel performs better stock than my SV105HS, even with the SLP red spool in the SV105.

While it's almost a toss-up, I second this. Both great reels, though.LgMouthGambler wrote:If I may, the Zillion SV TW is really lite, and I feel performs better stock than my SV105HS, even with the SLP red spool in the SV105.
This is the way.
Re: Reel suggestions
Yeah - we are splitting hairs. The Alphas are lighter and a little better ergonomically. The Zillion TW SV will cast a bit better. Depends on what the OP wants to prioritize. I am a bit of a weight weenie when it comes to finesse reels.
Will a Zillion TW SV outperform a Pixy for light baits tho?
