Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
More of the Alphas and Orochi xXx. I got out on the water for a bit to do some bank fishing at one of my favorite early season honey holes. The rod and reel casts small cranks like the DT-4 great but it did not like a 3/8 oz double willow War Eagle spinnerbait at all. The rod felt way underpowered with the spinnerbait when casting. It casts and fishes cranks very well so it is going to be by dedicated shallow crank rod.

That one kept hitting my ned rig but wouldn't commit, so I switched to an owner flashy swimmer with a 2.8 keitech and it destroyed it. I guess the water was too muddy for anything else. I thought it was a bass, though.KP Duty wrote: Nice. We have just a short time before the crappie get hot, but I'm seeing some dogwood bloom here in Tulsa.
Crazy weather. It's gonna hit 86 in OKC today and every night at the end of the week will be in the mid to high 30's. Maybe I should just call on today...

I can't get the 2.8" FATS to sync up well with the 1/0 Flashy Swimmers... I use the 3.8" for 3/0 and 4.8" for 5/0, but the 3.3" fits more flush on the 1/0 for me. I really used the 2.8" Keitech FATS a lot at first, but the durability started to kill me, and the 3" Easy Shiners worked better for panfish/BFS style so I had to switch. Have you tried the new sizes of Easy Shiner??? 3.5" and 4.5"??? They have been a good in between size for me; and I have found the Decoy Nail Bomb #2 jigs fit the 2.8" FAT and 3" Shiner amazingly well...

I was thinking the same thing, but that's the one size of FAT I don't have. Easy Shiner 3.5?? Yes, please! I haven't tried the Nail Bombs, either, but I love Decoy stuff almost as much as Owner, so I've been eyeing them. I like their Zero Dan jika rigs in size 2 and 4 for small Swing Impacts and Little Spider grubs.
I slapped some HH Air ceramics in that reel last night. Can't wait to try it out. I may decide to flush the oil out. I don't know, we'll see.

Nice collection! What do you think about those new Jackall baits? Worth it?

Awesome collection Olli!
Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
I must have one of those chatterbaits, I use a lot of small dropshot style baitfish like the trailer you have on there and would love to present them that way for a change, especially because I don't do so well on the larger bladed swim jigs.

Daiwa + Shimano. They play nice together. They even match each other. Same or similar metalic paint on the reel and blank. Same red on the red parts.

That type r looks to be in great shape! Mine doesn't look too bad at all either, despite not having been kept in a cover. The paint on those is excellent. Nice looking combo. If Kylo Ran had a fishing rod instead of a light sabre. I got some more red parts for that Alphas Air because black+red=darkside.
