NRX 9th Year at ICast 2019 / Revamp?
This year's Icast will mark the 9th year since the NRX's 2010 debut. Do you think we will be getting a revamped line or any expanded models?
Personally I would love to see the Recoil guides removed and would like to see a few full handle models like the UBR. Also wish they still had the MBR rods that were 7'.

I would say the cosmetics for sure. Do away with the light blue and go another route. Maybe add the full handle MBR models to the group (842, 843, 844). I am not opposed to changing the guides especially if it means a price hike to nearing Conquest money. Blank can stay the same. Maybe add a BFS rod like 801/851

I think it is time for a visual upgrade and a guide train update. The blank is awesome.

Like the guides, they're just plain more sensitive for bottom contact. Like the split grip. Like the blue. Would love to see an inch or so added to the rear grip on the 7'5" models. And maybe add some 7'4 - 7'6" fast tapered blanks for those who like fast better than x-fast, but to me the rod serves it's purpose better than any other rod. They are technique specific and deadly sensitive, and I don't really want to see a massive revamp.

I would like to see full cork handles and the Ci4 reel seat. I was really hoping for the Ci4 reel seat when the conquest models came out. I have never cared for the reel seat on the NRX and now Conquest. Both rods are so good I have just dealt with it.

What about using the same blank and using SS Sic or even Ti Sic guides? Would reduce costs. No tooling/engineering mandrels or any of that R&D. That would also save on costs.
Could do a new reel seat or whatever else floats peoples boats.
The 801/851c would be great!!!

Yes! I forgot the conquest spinning models had the Ci4. It is a very comfortable seat for both casting and spinning.

7'6" light action spinning rod would be sweet...
Re: NRX 9th Year at ICast 2019 / Revamp?
Almost forgot a 6’10-6’11” medium power fast action jerkbait rod would be sick
Re: NRX 9th Year at ICast 2019 / Revamp?
Since the disappearance of the 901 spin I will cast a vote for a 1 power Conquest Spin. Better yet a "00" Mag Light. I know I'm dreaming. More so with one that the handle doesn't extend past my elbow when wrapping index and middle finger around the blank. Until then Loomis spins will land every smallmouth (all I fish) in 2019.
Team flannel, overtime and promotion.

I wouldn't mind a NRX954C FPR 7'11 Heavy Punch rod like the GLX would be so nice.
