Great spool. Keep saying I'm going to get the ZPI M and do a head to head test but been lagging.

That’s what I’d like to know. In the world of after market spools KTF was my first taste of expensive and highly functional
Spools. How this spool in particular compares to the ZPI will be interesting. I have a ktf spool in my Aldebaran
That used to be in my 50e but no matter what I put it in it just performs. Having this spool option available
For steez TDZ platform is phenomenal.

I have yet to actually fish with the spool but testing in the steez tw it is very nice. My only complaints is the spool cost more than ZPIs but gotta pay to play.

how much more?
I have been informed that when ordering from KTF they add "odd" fees and are less inclined to customer service should you experience an issue.

It's a great spool,I've used a shallow one, the best works with fluoro(mono),I was able to cast 1/32 jig with no issues on R18 (4lb,-0.165mm),also if you use a 6-8lb line,1/8 oz (or so) flying like a rocket :D

Nope. Have the regular one in a TD-Ito and TD-Z PO and the finesse version in a PO and IS71HL. Awesome spools.

From what I could translate I think I have the non finesse version and another BE.
Do you think the non finesse version is a good place to start?
I was thinking about putting into a TDZ that's been heavily modded by ian for jerk baits.

I think the non-finesse version is an amazing all-around spool. I still think the BE is outstanding and the ZPI PG is a worthy contender for best all-around spool as well but I'm having too much fun with my KTF Kahens right now. They're definitely pricier than the ZPIs and more difficult to source but worth it to me. Not sure if any one of these spools is head and shoulders above the rest but in my hands the Kahen is as close to a perfect spool as I've used up to now factoring in control, distance, ability to skip and of course bling factor. Which jerkbaits are you thinking of throwing and on what rod and line?

I was able to snag both for $250 so I’ll see what the kahen
Has to offer. There are the same color blue. For some reason red spools cost more but back to your question I’m thinking MB 110
Or the old Excalibur EE jerkbaits. I have a custom rod but I have an expride 6’10” coming when TWH finally gets them in. Reel wise I was thinking about turning my stock TDZ TYPE r+
To blue spool star and ccc to differentiate between the one I have the red PG Spool in.

I’m open to suggestions cause I’d love to have a Trig setup
Please advise

That's a great grab! The KTF spool will be a blast for 110s. I have mine in a TD-Ito on a X7 EM and a PO on a Phase 3 Bearing Down at the moment but they spent a good amount of time in a PO on an EG Black Raven and a IS71HL on a X4 Rattleviper throwing 110s and trick darters and thoroughly enjoyed them earlier in the season. As for your TDZ R+ it might look like this when you're finished.

  ](*,) ](*,)
Checkmate...lol but I love the look of that TDZR+ and its more of what I was thinking as well.
I'll throw it in the other Steez Limited that I have. Or i'll try a US trail reel ?
I am not following what PO mean, I am assuming that your referring to a personal order TD-Ito? I've not heard of a black raven but I'm looking it up.
