I pointed that out as the Extreme Mission is a much nicer rod, quite the gem from the X7 line!
Shorter rod in the X7 line that would shine for topwater would be the Super Rekkai. The X7's are gold.

I use the super rakkai for frogs but not topwater treble baits

If you could find one, hard to find, the Deps Constrictor is a very nice shorter rod for 1 oz topwater baits.

With a name like Constrictor, that seems like the rod I should have had
a long time ago. But I like the thrill of the search no matter how futile it maybe sometimes you just find the gems.

I use the original Dobyns Champion 706CB for the I-loud and I-jack. works well for it.

With the review of the I-Jack and me finally finishing up with school I went to the rod rack. Seems like i had something that I was looking for all along. The Valkyrie 7’1” spiral wrapped rod is much more versatile than I first thought. I’ve seen people use this rod for jigs and spinnerbaits but I never thought about large topwater baits.

Yes; I agree. It should work great with that bait.

I've been throwing the I-Jack on the new Megabass Destroyer Wild Bunch Carbon Head, among other things. It handles 1 oz range top water baits very nicely. That Valkyrie 71H is an interesting option too... I know how much I enjoy the 71MH version in general.

I saw people using the Valkyrie for spinnerbaits one second and pitching the next. It’s a very interesting rod indeed

The St. Croix 7,4” glass rod is a heck of a rod.
Mine is paired with a TDZ-M with a zillion hlc spool and 12 or 14lb floro
I think twelve and I’ve done everything but crank on this setup.
The ILoud is great with this rod. I’ve thrown 3/4 Oz traps and compared to
My original laminglas rod this one is a standout stick

I always had a thing for glass. When you absolutely need a do all treble hook rod IMHO
