Zillion SV Pinion Bearings Sleeve/Collar
Just got my first Zillion SV and tore it apart today. Now, I'm wondering what is the reason behind the pinion bearings collars? I can see they extend out past the width of the bearings and maybe aid In alignment a bit, but isn't this just like a bushing? The handle side collar was a PIA to get out. It now has a chip out of the lip.

It is a galvanic corrosion protection.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galvanic_corrosionGalvanic corrosion (also called bimetallic corrosion) is an electrochemical process in which one metal corrodes preferentially when it is in electrical contact with another, in the presence of an electrolyte. A similar galvanic reaction is exploited in primary cells to generate a useful electrical voltage to power portable devices.
