Re: Daiwa Project T 2020
They are going down to a 32mm spool for this one too so no easy swap with the other tatulas...

Re: Daiwa Project T 2020
I have a couple of ZPI spools in the OG Tatula SV reels and I will tell you that the ZPI spools are great in the CT SV Platform. So much so that I have been trying to source spacers to allow the SV 33mm spools to be used in the current 100/Elite frame which accepts a 34mm spool. The main reason is I prefer the 100/Elite frame and the way it palms over the CT SV frame which sits a little higher on the rod.
So I thought that one of these new 100 based SV reels will be the answer I have been looking for....NOT!!!!
Dang 32mm spool

Spacers seems hard to found and those tend to be a little pricey. It would be nice if spacers would be available from reel tuning part shops.

So I am sure that one of these new 100 based SV reels will be the answer I have been looking for....Can't wait until they are available.....
The TW is most likely what causes it to seem bigger.
The original 103/105 palmed pretty good.
Then the TWS came out and everything seemed tall and wide.
Non TWS reels in the 70 size Alpha CT can’t quite get there.

Since when has TT become such a disgrace

You're probably right, thinking a new Alphas Air is on the horizon. Actually makes sense with all of these different size spools for the platform. No more spool swapping - have to purchase each separate reel. Maximize profits.ss30378 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2019 1:10 pmMan, $600+ for a bfs reel is up there no matter how you look at it. I can put together an aldebaran bfs with a 4.75g avail spool for around $400 and not have the 5 dollar handle look. I don't know if the 4mm smaller spool will make that big of a difference compared to the aldebaran or not but I'll reserve judgement until they are out.
Maybe this new AIR series will have a cheaper alphas AIR option with the new 28mm spool. Or if they sell the spool by itself maybe I can make spacers for the spacers for the current alphas ct to fit the smaller spool.

Re: Daiwa Project T 2020
I noticed the Tatula SV's that the US pro's are casting have the chrome handle nut covers like the regular Tatulas 100's. Probably have a 90mm handle where as the JDM version is 84mm.

The only disgrace is putting the Steez moniker on that unfortunate-looking machine.389Maverick wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2019 11:51 amSince when has TT become such a disgrace

Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

I'd really like to hear what the haters actually want out of daiwa ?
It seems we have some keyboard commando engineers among us...

Oh, come on, there are endless threads about what we want from Daiwa. Here's one that comes up constantly: Z1016
This is the way.

Re: Daiwa Project T 2020
What do I want personally? Anything but red and black....that's just so tired. And how about different porting, instead of copying the Fuego CT pattern? More generally, can Daiwa make a reel in a color other than black? Geez, it's like they bought a bulk tanker of paint and are trying to use it up. I actually like black reels, but they have went a little overboard imho.

Not one of the commandos...if it does not interest me... I just use what I have, till they come out with one that interests me.
Right now... I have a interest in the new Zillion SV TW with the new sideplate at only $50 more then the previous version. Just don’t have a interest in a 10:1.
I hope the USDM version has a 7.1:1 and 6.3:1.
