Question on Curado K Gear Swap into 2013 Metanium

I just ordered the 8.5:1 drive and pinion gear to speed up my 2013 metanium reel. However, the gears don't seem to fit in this reel like one of the other posts I saw from a year or two ago. Please refer to the image below:

Does this gear swap not work? Or am I missing a part needed for this conversion?

Pinion needs to be Metanium’s.

Yep, you have to have a metanium pinion, curado main gear of the same ratio.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.
