New Poison Adrena
Re: New Poison Adrena
Can anyone comment on how the 72H compares in power to the MB Levante perfect pitch?

I fished the kanata extensively on the 1611M+ this fall. No problems with it at all. Lob/heave cast and I was bombing it. You probably wouldn't want to really snap it but there is no need to. I have a metanium on mine and love it.Bay_Bassin86 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2019 2:44 pmHow well do you think the PA 1611M+ would handle the Megabass Kanata? I’ve been eyeing the PA 1611M+ for some time to pair with a Aldebaran 50 MGL HG for jerkbaits

Awesome thank you for your input. How well did it handle the regular size jerks like the 110? I’m hoping it isn’t too much rod for thosejerkbait22 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 4:47 amI fished the kanata extensively on the 1611M+ this fall. No problems with it at all. It fishes the 110 fine as well. For my personal preference it’s probably just a tad too fast of an action or too powerful for small trebles. I’ve used it a lot with topwaters and jerkbaits and I’m probably landing 95% of the fish I hook. So it’s not a big deal but you would have a better landing ratio with something that is a tad more moderate / parabolic. On the other hand I feel like I may get more reaction bites since I’m really able to snap the bait hard with the fast action. My dedicated 110 rod is a dobyns champion 704CB.
The adrena 6’11 M+ is just a great all around rod that you can do pretty much anything with outside of swimbaits and deep cranking. I fish a lot from a kayak and love the rods versatility for that purpose.

Would you agree that its a Pop Max and equivalent stick?
I've played around with the rod with a TDZ R+. At first I just used it for bottom contact baits like trigs and its good and sensitive
but now I am looking to use it with fluke style baits. I just had it out with my expride for jerk baits and unfortunately I prefer the expride

For those that have used the Gen1 and the newest Gen 2 Poison Adrena Rods, can you comment on which one you feel is more sensitive and if there are any other differences between the two?

Gen 2 - no question. The blank is the same, but the full carbon monocoque grip really revs up the transmission. It also makes the rod lighter. When you get a taker, you know it.Fishing4Fun wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2019 6:40 amFor those that have used the Gen1 and the newest Gen 2 Poison Adrena Rods, can you comment on which one you feel is more sensitive and if there are any other differences between the two?

who has used the 7'3 med hvy model. im looking for a spinnerbait, swim jig, and keitech rod with 1/4 oz heads -1/2 oz. would this rod fit the bill for single hook reaction baits? i noticed it is a mod fast instead of fast taper.

Has anyone used the 72H extensively?
Re: New Poison Adrena
I preferred the 6’11” for soft jerkbaits.Bay_Bassin86 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2019 2:44 pmHow well do you think the PA 1611M+ would handle the Megabass Kanata? I’ve been eyeing the PA 1611M+ for some time to pair with a Aldebaran 50 MGL HG for jerkbaits
I tired hard jerkbaits and it seems better suited for flukes IMHO
And topwater like pop Max’s.
Just my small cents

I have two of the 7’2H model. I use it for worms and jigs and love it. Sensitive and has the perfect taper for me to set and drive the hook consistently.

What weight jigs?
