Point Blank rods?

Post by Reverendo » Mon Jan 06, 2020 2:32 pm

What can you tell me about these rods? Only blanks are available right now, but the technology looks impressive. Of course promos and advertising have a way of making things look much better than they are.

Do a search in the custom rods section. Plenty of information available. In short, my favorite rod blanks.

I was pretty sure you would chime in, Mark. ;)
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Have you searched for local builders in your area?

Picking out the components and doing it yourself is half the fun. I really need to finish my last 3 rods...

According to their website they are using a blank specially designed by Fuji.

Agreed. Hiring a builder is like paying someone to f*** your girl 😅😂
I have a point blank sitting here waiting patiently for my mini lathe setup to be finished so I can start making trim parts at home

As much as I love to build my own fishing tackle, one person only has so much time. I already make a lot of my own lures and tune my own fleet of reels. I'd rather go fishing than build a rod that my builder can build better in a much shorter period of time. By no means do I let him control the process. I choose every part that he gives me at dealer cost. I give exact measurements as to where each component goes. That way I get a rod that is exactly how I want it. All of this for only $50 labor. My builder also lives on the way to the lake. I am busy fishing while I am waiting for the next rod. I also have more time for women, but not your woman of course! :D
I currently have a 7'6" HF, two 7' MHF, and a 6'9" MLXF Point Blank rod.
