Does the solid tip mean it's a stinger tip?

I think the stinger tip is a designation that Megabass uses and those have all been fiberglass, if I'm not mistaken. Daiwa designates their solid tip rods as "megatop". I could be dead wrong, though.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

the 6'6" medium looks interesting too

Yup and they also have super metal top now. Titanium tipped solid tip in some of the racing design models.Gone Phishin wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2020 10:28 amAhhh, that's right. Did Daiwa raise prices on the RD series?
MSRP on rods ranges from 91,000 to 98,000 YEN

Re: Steez Racing Design 701MH / HXB-ST
I just returned from Japan and spent some time at the Yokohama Fishing Fest. The entire line of Steez Racing Design rods were on display and I spent some time with them, and the designers. What an incredible series of rods to say the least. I'm fortunate to own one, but after this trip, I'll own a couple more of them.
The new 701MH/HXB-ST feels amazing in hand. It is faster in action than the 701MH/HFB due to the solid tip. I was concerned that it would feel something like the Megabass F5st-611X Bearing Down Type X with what I'd call an ultra extra fast tip, but it doesn't. It's wrapped all the way to the tip making it more rigid than many of the solid tipped rods I've fished in the past. The tip is definitely fast/extra fast, and feels like it will be perfect for T-rigs and other bottom contact presentations. Stay tuned, things are looking good to get a few of these over here...

Gary,
Looking forward to it.
Hopefully if what’s between the lines is to my understanding, than I’d like to know when that inventory is due to arrive. Let me know so I can start saving

I didn’t even try to fight it with this one; I was powerless under its spell. He who rules the heavens; the one they call Matt, did the rest.
