New Ray's DIY handle

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Anybody have one of these?

I'm not a huge fan of the DIY CF handles. Quality wise, the one I have is fine but they look like everything else on the chinese market. Definitely prefer RCS/SLP/Basszone. These aluminum however seem pretty unique looking relative to the standard Daiwa offering. Revamping a T31016 /w new gears/parts and this handle might look pretty good on it.

Looks like their version of a Zansin with a livre cap. Looks pretty cool. You'll have to post some pics if you throw one on that T3.

The CF ones are cheap and all but look too much like a ZPI knock off. These look interesting.

that's my draw to them. What I'm apprehensive about is , with all the porting, that the aluminium isn't very strong and will bend out. The design doesn't bother me, it's the unknown manufacturer. I would assume for 50$ it's gonna be more than an art piece and should be pretty reinforced.

:-k, I wonder if you can use other handle nuts and retainers with these. Please keep us posted should you get one.

I've used the regular Ray's Studio CF handles and they seem pretty nice.
No issues so far with them.
In fact, most of their stuff is way better than some of the other junk on Ali Express.
To each their own, but I'm not crazy about this particular handle design. If it's from Ray's studio, its probably good quality.

I like that. If it had a regular nut and retainer, I'd like it much more.
