Re: Any 2020 Shimano reel leaks.....
I started a thread with a new 2020 metanium unboxing video and I guess the mods took it down?

Unless you have a Kistler rod with a bulbous split grip that won't work with the chair leg cover trick. The only thing I could really think of, other than taping some weight to the butt, is to drill into the butt and put a half ounce tungsten weight and seal it up with epoxy or something. Trey himself told me that's probably what he would do.mark poulson wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 3:38 pmBalancing the rod/reel combo is easy. Buy some black rubber chair leg covers the same size as your rod butt, add enough lead inside the butt cap to get the combo to balance and the midpoint of the reel, and tape onto the butt with black electrical tape. Once you have your setup balanced, you won't even notice if it's heavier, because it is no longer tip heavy.CheezusCrust wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 9:47 amWho thinks the casting distance of the 2020 met will be greater than the met MGL?
I like the antares but the weight of the reel puts me off.So the met is the only option in my opinion

I've also used a self-taping brazierhead sheet metal screw to attach ballast weights to some big butts. I used the round lead surf sinkers with the line tie cut off flush, and I taped over it just to smooth it a bit.bwjay wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 8:02 amUnless you have a Kistler rod with a bulbous split grip that won't work with the chair leg cover trick. I use electrical tape to attach a 3/8” galvanized steel pipe cap and then shrink wrap the whole thing. Looks janky but it’s worked extremely well for me

Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Hey now, that's a disservice to millennials. There are multiple generations of people that love to talk smack and whine when they get called out and act like they're never in the wrong. I see it way more with Gen X'ers and Boomers than the younger generations (though obviously still with millennials and Gen Z), because the youngins have been handed so much crap to deal with from previous generations that they're numb to it.hoohoorjoo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 8:09 pmOne word....millenial.BRONZEBACK32 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 7:59 pmOh, some people just don't get it LOLhoohoorjoo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 7:55 pm3 warnings issued to this user in 2 weeks, due to rule violations.
