I posted this on another site, but I know the Tackle Tour membership will appreciate this information about the blank differences between new 2020 Xtreme AGS and previous Xtreme.
The lengths, actions, and powers are the same as previous Legend Xtreme. We can discuss the handle differences, which is more than the addition of the splatter material, at a later time. Let's focus on the blank differences first.
The "Advanced Reinforcing Technology" or "ART" is different than previous SCV. The new material has increased hoop strength due to a more evenly spread raw carbon fiber material.
The "Fortified Resin System" or "FRS" is different. The material and cure cycle are completely re-engineered to create a stronger blank without sacrificing overall weight.
The main fiber has the same modulus graphite as previous SCV, but has dramatically improved tensile strength. Essentially, the amount of stretch in the material before a failure occurs has been greatly improved in the blank used in new Legend Xtreme.
I hope this will help quell the perception that new Legend Xtreme is the same as the old one, because in reality, it is a completely different blank. I agree 100% that this should have been one of the foremost points in marketing this new line and it should have been called something different, but that is also another conversation.
