Because that's what makes the world go 'round...would be a pretty boring place otherwise.LowRange wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2020 1:19 pmI don't understand this mentality. Do you not like the look and feel of a high end trim vehicle and will instead pay the same amount of more or order one that has a custom spec base model appearance? "I'll take the top trim truck but please make the outside look like a base fleet vehicle, thanks". I do not understand the appeal. Why would people want ugly and boring looking things are purpose?

Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
I just reread this again and it dawned on me, I prefer the work truck and other lower trim models. They appeal to me more in both aesthetics and long term durability compared to high end trims. That doesn’t mean I don’t tweak a base model truck to suit my needs either. My trucks won’t win best of show, but I bet they outperform the best of show. Kinda like the sleeper ride. Subtle yet eyebrow raising performance. I’m that guy.LowRange wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2020 1:19 pmI don't understand this mentality. I’d be interested in that, too. Knowing Loomis, no way eh.
Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
I fished the 902S NRX and 902S Conquest 'side-by-side' for several trips to decide which to keep and which one to sell. Somewhere I have a post in this forum about that comparison. The net was that IMO/experience, the Conquest was just as sensitive as the NRX. But the Conquest was superior in casting distance, accuracy and handling fish. The NRX was sold.
I also replaced a NRX 852C with a Conquest 842C, which 'travels' on every fishing trip along with the Conquest 902S.
So, for me a new NRX will be compared with my Conquest.

I would take a 901s Conquest.
But my 901s NRX is my favorite spinning rod.
To me the NRX is more sensitive over the Conquest, a new NRX 901s with full grip would be awesome.

If they made a 901S Conquest and a 741S, even a 740S Conquest, I’d be back in. I have my eyes on the new Legend Xtremes, instead.

I picked up a NRX 901S, it's the most fun of all my spinning rods. Casts 1/16 oz spinner like a charm.BRONZEBACK32 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 10:14 pmI would take a 901s Conquest.

I have heard this new series is moving away from Recoil guides. I hope the blanks remain the same and they bring back the 901S and 902S!
