Zenaq Spirado Blackart B5-74
I have been eye balling these for a long while and finally pulled the trigger. It helped that there is a US distributor now; thanks to Tomos Tackle. They are an offshore saltwater supplier, but gladly helped this freshwater fisherman.
It feels like an extra heavy; it's med fast under about 4 lb load, but it has a more moderate taper with 'scorable' (ala MLF) sized fish. This is a 'JDM one piece' in that it has an offset handle. This is a stout stick and is proportionally heavy at 170 g. But it's no broomstick; it's a pleasure to cast with great slingshot action. It's very sensitive and I plan on using it for all things bottom contact and punching. This is a well built stick and should appeal to those who like simple builds and pure performance. It has a solid, indestructible feel to it. Very little experience with it yet, but it's been all good so far. I'll update when I have more experience.

Your always one step ahead of me. I was almost REALLY jealous thinking you picked up the new 4.5 Biwa Spec. I'm still pretty greenPolkfish1 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 1:38 pmI have been eye balling these for a long while and finally pulled the trigger. Nice pickup, give us your thoughts as you have had time to use it. Congrats!

Thanks man. The lure range, length and action on the Biwa Spec all suggest a phenomenal rod in the Blackart incarnation. I’m sure you’ll love it when you decide to pull the trigger. I needed a good new punch rod. When I took my current one to my rod guy for repairs, he asked me if I found it in a ditch and reminded me that he sells rods. I pointed out the blank and he then understood why it was worth getting new guides and the handle glued right. Anyway, I wanted something that would perform and hopefully endure my punishment for a few seasons. This seems like the right beast.Aquaftm45 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 7:03 pmYour always one step ahead of me. I was almost REALLY jealous thinking you picked up the new 4.5 Biwa Spec. Re: Zenaq Spirado Blackart B5-74
What engine plate is on that Zillion and where can I find one?
Re: Zenaq Spirado Blackart B5-74
Love mine, beast of a rod. Outstanding for pitching to heavy cover, and slinging larger baits. Clean builds, and quality blanks. I have mine paired up with a completely custom, one-off, murdered out, Cerakoted TD-Z R+ with just a couple of gold accents to match the rod, and too many mods to list. It’s spooled with 40-60lb Samurai/FX2 braid (depending on application) and is a ton of fun to fish. Should serve you very well. Enjoy, and congrats!

Re: Zenaq Spirado Blackart B5-74
The rod is certainty worthy of a customized reel. That pairing is truly incredible Rise. Impressive indeed!
Re: Zenaq Spirado Blackart B5-74
Both combos are smokin hot!
Re: Zenaq Spirado Blackart B5-74
Appreciate the kind words
That SLP works Zilly looks outstanding with that rod as well, polkfish.
