Couple more speckled trout caught on a custom Flash Minnow MR. Its been super hot out, but as long as the wind is blowing the bite has been great. Caught on custom Conquest 842c(amazing jerkbait rod)and Stile SS 151.

No doubt about that! When I set the hook on that first one, something happened that had never happened before.(This all happened in 2’ of clear water) Bowed up on her, and she didn’t move. She floated straight up to the surface and sat there looking at me for what seemed like an eternity. It was like she was challenging me to fight :-s Next thing you know, she went into full on thrash mode and went crazy on the surface, looked like a bomb dropped or something. Then she took off, and the speed of these fish is insane!

Kishwaukee. I fish dupe as well but mostly during colder seasons. That's a nice duper smallie.

Conquest 842 putting in some work yesterday. This jack crushed my Flash Minnow as soon as it hit the water, and was a strong fighter despite the messed up tail. Towed me out a few hundred yards before I was able to tire it out. Always a fun surprise.
