Travel rod recommendations
I am in search of a 4 piece travel rod preferably around 6'6 in M or MH for general bass fishing on the road or flying. Any suggestions would be very helpful. I would also note that if the rod is light in weight that would be a huge plus.

Re: Travel rod recommendations
There was also a line of Levante 4 travel rods made that are still floating around on the suction sites, including an F4 power that might be what you’re looking for. There are a couple of multi-page threads in this vein if you feel like searching a bit, plenty of good info

+1 on the 4 piece megabass levantes. I have the F5 611 4P. A little difficult to source now, but the rod is very versatile. I've thrown 1/4 ounce neds to small 1.5oz class swimbaits and caught fish.
The orochi xxx series are real nice too. I haven't tried the casting version, but I have the jade python and it's nice as well.

St. Croix Legend Trek is another very high quality travel rod option:

I believe that the Abu Garcia Hornet Stinger Plus also comes in a 4 piece design.
Re: Travel rod recommendations
I own two of the G. Loomis Escape series spinning rods. they are fantastic and come with a rod bag and hard pvc rod tube. they are 3 pieces. pricey but worth it. i bought mine during the American Legacy black friday sale.

Loomis Escape rods are awesome. Also St. Croix just released a (3) piece avid trek. I prefer 3 piece over 4 but throwing these out there. Daiwa Ardito, Fenwick HMG, Falcon has two new ones available, even had good luck with Cableas 3-4 piece house brand rods too.

Re: Travel rod recommendations
I have the following travel rods
Abu Garcia Hornet Stinger Plus 694 BFS- delicate tip but surprisingly strong. I have landed carp to 10pd among weeds on it no problem
Abu Garcia Hornet Stinger Plus 664 Spinning- Nice for UL stuff. I would prefer a stiffer tip section but I have some good LM bass with it and it did the job in Oman on a species bash.
Diawa Air Edge 664MLB- Still very new- got my first fish (barra in the mangroves) on Sunday with it. It seems to work better on the higher side of the weight range and probably beyond. I like the short handle, going to make a good light tight cover rod. Cosmetically the prettiest of the bunch.
Bone Voyage 724MHB- Solid rod that handles lures easily at the top end of the range. A bit tip heavy even when paired with a Bantam.
Hope this helps.

Re: Travel rod recommendations
I have the Fenwick HMG casting rod, which is 3 + 1 pieces, meaning it comes with two tip pieces (one med and one med heavy action).
I think really like the construction and multiple actions aspect, but it's a tad heavy. But for $100 can't really complain.

So many good recommendations here, but if I was going to be a tad more picky. Are there any travel rods that are on the lighter weight side of things? I notice most travel rods are at least 6 oz + in weight.
Re: Travel rod recommendations
If you are looking for something light and cheap, Kuying makes a nice 6'9M 4 piece. Under US$100.

Nah. A quality graphite blank plus components shouldn't weigh nearly that much. I recently received my Bone Voyage 634l, and it's crazy light. Though it is a light powered rod that measures only 6'3".heyitzpetah wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2020 7:15 pmSo many good recommendations here, but if I was going to be a tad more picky.
