The "zero difference" was directed towards the functionality and frame of the reel, meaning that it isn't a new model, just minute refinements. This was for the benefit of many people who haven't held both reels and might misunderstand, thinking that the Zillion 10 is a completely new reel. It was for the benefit of those, not an attempt to argue with or personally attack you. And I also agree with you on one other point-let TT decide what I meant, instead of you explaining what I meant to them.
“Zero Difference” is what your very first remark was...
When I showed there was 1 and 2 and 3 differences... then rather then concede that you were wrong with the “zero difference”... you went the “same frame” route.
Give up bud...you were 6 years late to the more respectable TT crowd; back when we learned to admit when we were wrong.

The obvious answer to your inquiry is that Daiwa doesn't plan to release other gear ratios in the revised Zillion or they likely would have done it on day 1. They probably want to sell the existing stock of the existing SV Zillions instead.

I have owned a few Tatula variants such as the original and ct, ct type r and they were ok but a bit meh, I recently bought the Tatula HLC and that is the bomb! For a Tatula that is.

A revised tribal spider, and each Tatula comes with a round of Jager bombs and a bottle of Drakkar Noir.

Like a lot of things in this world, a vocal minority gets heard more clearly than others in certain venues, like it or not. I'm a fan of high end Daiwa reels in general, but I own and regularly fish a range of the Tatula family as well. From a 100 size at $129.99 to a 300 size at $269.99, Daiwa offers everything most any fisherman would want in the Tatula family. I certainly understand the perception of "Tatula" being over branded, and I get that some folks don't like the spider graphic, but for me, and a LOT of very happy Tatula users I know, it really doesn't seem to be a problem in the real world.

You know what irks me. Why doesn't Ford make a new truck instead of the F150! I'm tired of the rebrand every few years.

If you could just convince them to go back to using the free floating spools in every reel over $100 again like they used to that would be great. I imagine it actually costs them money to have to tool two different frames and side plates just to hold the extra bearing in the Zillion TWs. All just to try to differentiate reels with specs that don't really affect performance in a big way. I just want my spools to work in every reel.bronzefly wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 9:55 amLike a lot of things in this world, a vocal minority gets heard more clearly than others in certain venues, like it or not. Chode probably something that's before your day...
Anyhow how about a new Daiwa Frog? I mean the frog image is pretty soft on the eye.
