Just what's on the website (jdm). It's supposed to increase flight distance. 2 stages, at low revs, only one stage is operational. As it speeds up, the 2nd stage opens, and then towards the end of the cast as it slows down, the 2nd stage disengages. Something to that effect anyways.

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000
With a listed capacity of 90 yards of 14 pound I think this 34mm is gonna be narrower than the Steez/zillion spools of the past.
I'm still thinking it's more in line with the size of a Steez CT with a larger diameter spool, hence the 1000 instead of 700.

Spool looks narrower than in former sv Zillion.
Yes, they say it's two stages brake. I'm keen for seeing how they have made that!

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000
The only way this dual stage SV Air Brake makes sense is if they change the spring to a non linear spring. Which is actually an excellent idea. A spring that is soft initially to get controll at low spool speeds for skipping ect but then becomes a stiffer spring the more it is compressed. I'm guessing it is a normal Air Brake but with a dual rate spring. I'm going to have to play with this on my SS SV spool.

Dual rate spring sounds good.
And in my opinion new line of progressive springs would sound better!

The weight, or lack of, caught my eye too. The first thing I thought of was not wearing my wrist out with larger walking topwater baits, and larger jerkbaits.toddmc wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 10:24 am6.18 ounces sure is light for a Zillion. Cars, reels, and almost everything has gone to the sleeker beveled edge look. This was kind of expected. I think the spool is the most intriguing. Daiwa using the word "Hyper" so much in the description makes me think that this thing might have ADHD!

Really wish they would come up /w some different knobs. It's the same knobs they've been using for 4 years now.

I still love that old platform yet I only have my IP68. Definitely going to be adding another. I already have 3 36mm spools for my one 36mm Zillion. Nothing will ever replace the original.toddmc wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 6:29 pmviewtopic.php?f=47&t=83615&p=672803&hil ... er#p672803

Gotta be the spring or the SV ramp has a shallow to steep angle transition now.LowRange wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 8:48 amThe only way this dual stage SV Air Brake makes sense is if they change the spring to a non linear spring.
