Hoping they replace the blanks with something like the xray or torayca m40x along with torzites. Maybe they can be like st croix and utilitize ags hahaChubbyGoby28 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 5:06 pmI have heard this new series is moving away from Recoil guides. I hope the blanks remain the same and they bring back the 901S and 902S!

Not sure why they haven’t made CI4+ guides, like Daiwa AGS, to compliment their CI4+ reel seats.

Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
Have been a big fan of the NRX blank. Strong/Durable/Sensitive blank. My biggest complaint has been the reel seat. It failed early on when they were first introduced, which they have fixed, but I never have cared for the skeleton type seat in general. I hope to see them use the Ci4 reel seat (on both NRX and Conquest) and work on balance of NRX moving forward.
Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
Ci4+ is graphite powder reinforced plastic just like Daiwa's Zaion. Not something want guides made from. It's an excellent material for reel seats and drag stars though.DrTrevorkian wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 5:14 amNot sure why they haven’t made CI4+ guides, like Daiwa AGS, to compliment their CI4+ reel seats.

Ah, got it. For some reason I thought it was stranded through. Shiloomis should make their own carbon framed guides, then.

Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
maybe they are spending time testing this one - cause clearly they didn't test the first run of NRX rods.
only 2 out of my 11 casting NRX rods didn't have a reel seat failure.
there isn't a chance in hell they tested the first run of rods.

Spinning reel seats were terrible too. Best blanks with shoddy builds. I know they can do better. I own better builds of theirs in lower lines.

Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
yeah i could imagine they dont want to mess this one up being it is going to be their new flagship. well aside from the conquest line.
Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
The blanks are already dang near perfect. They could just get like 3 relatively intelligent fishermen in a room to design a new handle and color scheme in a few hours. Voila, new model. Just improving the build quality would almost be enough to call it a new rod.

Totally agree with the build quality. I have been fairly happy with the GLX models I've owned. NRX...Returned several for all different build quality reasons. Even IMX models have been cleaner builds.

We are getting closer to the Bassmaster Classic. Any more news on the new NRX? I was hoping they would launch it around the Classic.
Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
I believe the Classic got moved to June sir.
Team flannel, overtime and promotion.
Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
Looks like TackleWarehouse has removed all NRX models from their store except for the ones they still have in stock. Dunno if that meets something As I write this the only models they list are the 802S JWR and 852S JWR (spinning) and the 802C JWR and 853C JWR (casting).
