It's all better than st louis, though I did end up in some sketchy places in little rock

I'm sold. Can't wait until mine gets here
Re: Zillion sv TW 1000
Didn't check the thread a few days, but I didn't mean to start anything against TRT. Again though, I will speak up though against something I think is wrong. I wish people would try and be more positive, in all aspects. Try and give all products a chance, look for the positive. 14ft of casting distance shouldn't totally trash a reel and make it useless. I know everyone is entitled to an opinion, but the whole World is coming to and end and everything in life is terrible mentally doesn't sit well with me. Old timers saw it worst in WW2, we should preserve the planet and be thankful for all we have now.

Can you adjust the brakes on the fly with the new design?
Meaning, one handed bumb it up quickly to cast into the wind.

Looks like the new mag dial location is meant to be adjusted by the palmimg hand's index finder rather than the old design tbunb scroll.RMCatchNrelease wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 9:26 amCan you adjust the brakes on the fly with the new design?

At the going price for ammo these days, you should be able to get 2 or 3 new Zillions for that case of 223 ammo...doomtrprz71 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 11:01 amLooks like I just need to sell a case of 223 ammo and get a new zillion here before Valentine's day

In my opinion it looks like that this reel is supposed to turn upside down for adjusting mag dial...LowRange wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 10:41 amLooks like the new mag dial location is meant to be adjusted by the palmimg hand's index finder rather than the old design tbunb scroll.RMCatchNrelease wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 9:26 amCan you adjust the brakes on the fly with the new design?

Not a huge deal, but one of my favorite things about Daiwa is the easy adjustments on the fly.jvelth74 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 12:28 pmIn my opinion it looks like that this reel is supposed to turn upside down for adjusting mag dial...LowRange wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 10:41 amLooks like the new mag dial location is meant to be adjusted by the palmimg hand's index finder rather than the old design tbunb scroll.RMCatchNrelease wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 9:26 amCan you adjust the brakes on the fly with the new design?

I love throwing spinnerbaits but fishing KS there is always 15mph wind. With my Zillion, TDZ, px68 I can turn into the wind, whilst turning bump the reel 4 clicks, and fire away. Very efficient. Same concept when I turn downwind and want to bomb one with the wind.
Also, I like the audible and tactile click of the Daiwa dail versus the smooth scroll on a Shimano. I can make adjustments without looking. The 20 clicks also helps with fine tuning better than 6 settings.
I'll have to see if I can do that with my pointer finger.

I kid.
Anyways, I have to turn the reel upside down to change the setting. Not a big deal IMO.

I use thumb if wind conditions changes in every cast. If it's too cold to use thumb, then I adjust Mag-Z for headwind and I don't care that there's too much brake to tailwind. Then usually there's more serious issues, like freezing line guide, than too much magnetic brake.
