Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

If that is a new Calcutta...it doesn't look much different than the current generation, and also there is no mention of MM gears?
The pictures are all the 2012 modell, there is no info there other than saying there might be a new modell next year. No info on the reel.

Stock on the 100HG 2021 model is 33mm x 19mm, same on upcoming SE model...

Any news of a Stella SWD? 2019 was the SWC release. Usually updated every 5 years.

This excites me along with the Conquest SE. Just hoping it won't let me down like my last spinning reel purchase...

Are there any details released on the new Certate? The 2019 model is a fantastic reel, interested to see what they've changed for the new model.

Although usability isn't as good as the Steez, the form factor and performance of the Metaniums makes it difficult for me to branch out. Specifically, the palmability of the Metaniums is just such a unique feel. However, I really want a Steez SV for skipping docks. I was hoping that Steez would start inching toward more Metanium-like dimensions, but I found pics from multiple angles here
https://reelcatalog.com/brands/daiwa/24-steez-sv-tw and it appears to still be a significantly wider stance than the Metaniums. I'll wait to hear some performance reviews before deciding, but will probably still get one for skipping.

I'd be more excited for a new antares. I've wanted one for a while but have shyed away from it because it is so old. I feel like the minute I pick an old model up a new one will be released.

This is dope! A friend of mine brought me back a 23 Met 100XG from his trip to Japan and it's a thing of beauty.

Going to be hard to improve upon the A70, that reel is the ticket and I'm not even a Shimano guy.
