Re: Steez SV TW frame swap
First off, welcome to the forum. Im not entirely sure that the swap would work. But if you do that swap, remember that the gear sideplate is magnesium, as well. If your sole reason for swapping is because you're fishing brackish or salt water, that might not be a good idea.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Hello all,
I fish freshwater only and my steez A is too heavy for my standards.I want the steez SV TW frame so I can shave off weight because the frame on my steez A is aluminum and heavy AF.

By the time you purchase a frame, gear side plate, palm side plate, latch for palm side plate, and gear set, you’ll be better off selling your Steez A and purchasing a Steez SV TW
I don’t believe the Steez A palm side plate is compatible to the Steez SV TW frame, and truthfully, without changing the gear side plate, which is also aluminum on the Steez A, you might shave around 13-14 grams at the most. Another reason the Steez SV TW is lighter is the 80mm handle vs the 90mm on the Steez A, along with the difference in knobs.

Seems likely that it would work. You should try it out and let us know

wild we've got to the point where 6.7oz reels are being thought of as too heavy.
You're better off selling the A and purchasing an SVTW.

Re: Steez SV TW frame swap
The frame is only 59.99 I have a steez A already,I just want to transfer all the side plates all the parts onto the steez SV TW frame. Can somebody please tell me if the frame is compatible with the steez A parts?
Re: Steez SV TW frame swap
The middle frame is only 49.99. You'll also have to purchase the side plates (both palm and handle side). The palm side plates don't swap. They lock differently. You'll also need to source the locking mechanism and any other parts associated with it for the SVTW. Internally ,they're nearly identical aside from the clicker on the A that the SVTW doesn't have. I don't recall if the gear sets swap between the two. I know it's been discussed on here before. I've never tried to swap gears between my A's and sVTW's so I can't say for certain.

Really?? Wow.
I certainly wouldn’t call the Steez A heavy by comparison to other reels. You might save 1 - 1.2oz going to the Steez SV TW but IMO will be hardly noticeable in your hand. What rod are you putting it on? Often times a tip heavy rod will make the whole setup feel like a cinder block.
