Re: Keitech Swing Impact Fat 3.8
How would you rig the 5.8 for fishing rock piles in 5'-12' of water. I saw the Texas rigging option on the Keitech site. Has anyone tried that?

Re: which buzzbait
War Eagle. I hate the name, RTR, but they are the best buzzbaits I've used. Squeal out of the package and even better after a few miles out the truck window on the way to the lake. I like Cavitrons too, just like the former the best.

Re: anyone use bass mafia 3700 coffin for terminal
I noticed these recently as well... thinking about trying one for terminal tackle also. Currently use the FTO box but I don't like the fixed dividers. Also may pick up a deep box, always looking at different crankbait storage options, and if I don't like it it can always double as a spinnerbait box...
Re: Pop Max
Thank you sir! I'm a little leery of tossing my Pupfish around. I'll give the Megabass a shot.mark poulson wrote:I think Megabass still makes them, but they are the new, improved version, and they are not as big as the Pupfish.

Re: Pop Max
Is there anywhere to buy the Dog X? I'm a huge Pupfish fan. I have a few 4" and 6" versions.mark poulson wrote:It was similar to their Dog X, but a 9" version.
Re: Pop Max
Which Megabass bait was the Pupfish a copy of? Pardon my ignorance, and can I still buy some?

Re: Powell Diesel
Are these any good? How would they compare to a F13 Omen in sensitivity, weight, and balance? Are the guides any good for braid? Are they a good deal at $55 dollars? I want a decent rod, not a $55 rod, looking more at something around $100 in quality. I was looking at the 7'6" MH extra fast for fli...

Re: Need a new buzzbait
I second the opinion above on the War Eagle. Squeals out of the box and just catches fish for me. I have some of all sizes but the big one in chart/white with the gold blade and black on black are the best producers for me. The Honey-buzz and the Boogerman are awesome too.

Re: Football jig/trailer
I like a 1/2 oz Bass Patrol in green pumpkin down to about 15' . Tip that one with a Zoom Super Speed Craw in watermelon red. That has worked on every lake I have fished it on. Deeper than 15' I change it up to 3/4 oz and change the trailer to a twin tail of some kind in the same type of color. I do...

Re: New swim jig rod?
I have been using a Powell Max 705 for swimming jigs in the grass on the Coosa River and love it. I like the 7' because I can still cast in close quarters if I need to. Just feels better to me than the 734, and has more than enough power to get the fish turned to the boat.

Re: What is your favorite buzzbait?
There is only one I throw anymore: war eagle. I try others and I keep coming back to this one in all sizes. That being said: Roll Tide.
