Re: Random Fluorocarbon
Zander is enjoying his time with Shimano's new Mastiff Seaguar's AbrazX is worth trying That's two that come to mind. I fished Gamma years ago and did not care for it. Oh Berkley Trilene FC is actually decent.. might just have to buy a couple of different strengths to get the diameter you want unles...

People say, get the heavier reel for that but why? Will my gears legitimately shatter because it's meant for smaller fish that don't bury into weeds? ... If no, then I'd much rather have the further casting, lighter reel. You fit right in... welcome to TackleTour  For me, it's always about lin...

How do I even know what reel I ordered? Is it a 2016 model? A 2019? It’s so vague. I wanted the 2021+ newest one but I guess they often don’t tell you what version they’re selling. I don’t know. I’m just so frustrated by all of it. It’s so different than buying anything else where it’s absolutely c...

Is this site affiliated with tackle trap? Tackle Trap is a former advertiser on the site. Bronzefly is a longstanding member. There's also a bit of a dive into Daiwa's HyperDrive gear design in our review of the '21 Zillion/Zillion G. It's more related to the way the gears are cut than the material...

Re: Daiwa silver wolf
I think Cal is doing a review on this reel. He does a variety of finesse and big bait fishing to really test the casting...and line capacity  Yeah fosho he'll be testing the line capacity. I got about 70yds of #1 Spro Finesse Braid on the Silver Wolf with roughly 5 feet of Spro FC Leader in 6l...

Yah... Zander has a BLX rod.. probably not that exact model, but I'd scratch the BLX off your comparison list right away.hoohoorjoo wrote: ↑Tue May 16, 2023 1:00 pmThe BLX is the most tip heavy rod I've ever held. It is also a broomstick with very little tip. I was very disappointed in that one.

Re: Megabass's New Sleeper Craw : Just Tie It On, Pitch It Out, and Get Bit
One thing I haven’t learned during my limited fishing time (or from the article) is how easily Sleeper Craws snag compared to a jig. Do you have any data or anecdotes on that? Snags from the hook are very minimal... the base will get caught up in muck just like anything else, but I can't recall an ...

Re: Checking In With The New IMX, the 892C JWR
Remember... you don't balance an object by placing weight on the pivot point
i.e. i don't buy into the theory of using relying on the weight of a reel to balance out a combo.

Re: Checking In With The New IMX, the 892C JWR
I just got one of these rods, love it, I put a 16 Aldebaran BFS reel with 10 lb braid to a !0 lb tastsu leader, really nice set up even though its a little heavier action than most BFS rods. Im waiting on the new Conquest BFS reels to come out, should be a perfect match for this rod. Honestly.. I'd...

Re: Checking In With The New IMX, the 892C JWR
ya i guess thats kind of my point though: the special features often make the rods worse not better. look at the reviews on the GLX for example: https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/G_Loomis_GLX_Casting_Rods/descpage-NGLX.html#customer_reviews the custom reel seat hurts peoples hands. I think they may u...
