Re: Steez 105 LTD casting issues
I think it's the yoke, as well. If a spring pops out of place, the yoke won't keep the pinion gear fully meshed to the spool pin. Yeppers. In this case, it's during the cast, so the pinion gear shouldn't be meshed to the spool pin. Sounds like not enough clearance of the pinion from the spool/pin. ...

Steez 105 LTD casting issues
https://youtube.com/shorts/VWqEej7-Nhk?feature=share Got a vid here. This sound is present everytime I cast with any force. When the magnetic brake is set to higher it gets even louder and it does this throughout the entire cast. When I set the brake to 0, it only makes the sound on the initial, mos...

Re: Daiwa Steez SV TW A Magforce adjuster reversed
Figured it out. Turns out no matter if the dial was set to 0 or 20. The spool would not spin freely. I marked the inner magnet with a sharpie, turned the dial (which rotates the outer dial) from 0-20 and the inner magnet was moving as the outside dial moved. To fix this, I set the dial to 20 (as it ...

Daiwa Steez SV TW A Magforce adjuster reversed
Hey all, servicing a Steez A today. I popped in the spool and disengaged the reel and spun the spool by finger while the magforce adjuster is set to 0 and am getting little to no freespool. However when I set the dial to 20 it freespool great. During maintenance I did not even touch the side plate w...

Re: Metanium 20 & Shallow Water Edition Comparision w/ Pics
Is the Shallow edition really needed? The stock JDM spool was pretty good. I found that I had a hard time casting with these newer reels, especially the Met 20 and the Aldebaren MGL. I could get distance from them but the casting was very sporatic, very inconsistent. I removed the O ring from the br...

I'm in the camp of lighter is better for my spinning set up. I like a 3k Vanquish or Excense.

Re: 22 Bantam for 3oz and under swimbaits
The bantam can hang unless you're really trying to bomb the bait out there with a 7'11 rod. Like Cal mentioned line capacity is your enemy. I personally wouldn't use anything under 17lb... 20lb is where you're going to be safeish from cast offs, look for thinner than average fluro at 20lbs. OR you c...

Re: What’s the craziest topwater blowup you’ve had?
It was like 10 years ago, but I'd stop by a local lake every day after dropping of my sister to work. I would catch a small fish here or there in a couple of hours but I noticed one day the DNR started stocking walleyes. On a calm flat fall day I threw a bone white super spook and started working it...

Re: Do You Use Spinning Reels?
Yes I use them all the time. It gets hard in high pressured lakes, light line, light hooks, better drag system than baitcaster. I use up to 20lb braid for bass fishing around cover. Im almost always using a leader

Re: Floating DD Jerkbaits
Duo Realis Fangbait 80DR and 100DR. They are all wire through, super durable bait that casts phenomenal. Not cheap though and hard to find in state. I actually fish mine like deep cranks but they are designed for SW and amazon fishing.
