Re: 2015 Shimano Aldebaran

I just received my aldebaran and noticed that the hood that covers the worm gear flexes away from the frame when pressure is applied. Do you have any idea what would cause this?

Re: 30 lb braided main line suggestion...???

I use 30lb Power Pro super slick with 17lb seaguar red label with no problems at all. I have been using it the whole season with no breakage issues.

To solve digging issues I use mono backing and electric tape

Re: Flipping Jig without the Heavy Hook?

Definitely try the omega finesse pitching jig. They have a lighter hook that is better for fluorocarbon.

Re: jigs or creatures/plastics in summer

It all depends on water clarity and weather conditions. In dirty water, I will throw a jig whether its cloudy or clear out. In clear water, if it is overcast then i will throw a jig. In clear sky conditions, I will throw a soft plastic. During winter and pre-spawn I throw nothing but jigs(usually bl...

I would recommend: Spinning: Rod: $99- Omen 6'10 ML for small senkos, light texas rigs, shakeyhead, or any other finesse technique. Reel: Shimano Sahara($79) or Shimano Symetre($99) in the 1000 or 2500 size depending on what pound test you will be using and how much line you need. Casting: Rod: $99-...
