Re: 2016 New Steez?
They out yet? In JP? Haven't bought a reel for ages, if so I'll grab one. Looks kinda all the goodness of the T3 without the crap. REREAD... Above and as also noted on Japan Tackle website.... They are set for a May Release. Thanks I just saw a pic and didn't have time to go through the pages looks...

Re: Phenix Recon2 683
from memory its was 3 degrees. It doesn't seem much but I like to cast in a downward flicking action that relies on the tip folding over completely. On the lighter bait weights that 3 degrees was very noticeable. Also the M1 at its very limit (way past 30 deg) its a series that I'm most confident to...

Re: Phenix Recon2 683
I was actually going to build on one myself. I'd use it for weightless plastics, Pop-X's, and the occasional 1/4 oz jig. I'm a little worried about the backbone but I wouldn't be using it under any really nasty cover, of course. I've liked the M1 blanks but want to branch out. Would love to afford ...

Re: phenix maxim series rods
Any more reviews of this series? I'm looking at the 6'10" MH but the TT review said the 7'3" was tip heavy. I use one as a general purpose reaction rod. on 20lb PE or 14lb FC for weights 1/4 up to around 5/8. It's balance point with a 6oz reel is just at the forward tip of the small EVA foregrip. F...

Re: Phenix K2s
And the 765? Was thinking on paper it should be close to the X7 western flip. I know there's less power there but that extra length is definitely very inviting. The 765 is about the same weight and speed as the 715 but with a fair amount less power. The 715 came in at 668 grams of power. The 765 ca...

Re: Spinning reel size for UL rod
I don't know, my c2000 reel isn't much bigger than a 500 and weights only 5.3oz. I have it on a rod rated at1/64~1/8oz and 2-6lb line. It might not be true UL, but so is 4lb or superline users. I would say 90% of bass anglers in Japan use 4lb flouro for their spinning reels. I have 2 C2000hgs. Both...
