Re: All new steez sv tw

There's gotta be a stack of shims under the palm side spool bearing like most reels. Removing one of these should free up some side to side movement of the spool.

Re: Kistler Rods Pricing

They have a cult following for a reason but they just don't do it for me visually. They seem hacked together almost. Like whoever put them together doesn't understand why spit grips are cool and just cut a chunk out of a full handle and fitted the two pieces to the blank without winding checks, thre...

What about that gekkabijin? Same platform but with a more distance oriented braking profile and PE spool.

Also check your magnet rings to make sure they rotate when adjusting the dial.

Loomis has a captive audience of 55+ that will pay full retail no questions asked on Tackle Warehouse or their local shop like Hank Hill buying a car. https://youtu.be/4oaEfBMA7AE?si=Mgu9peemOnD6FYWe Yep...that's why Shimano purchased them. I guess they wanted Gary's secret resin blend as well. Hey...

Re: Are you using any Chinese manufactured reels?

Avoid plastic frame chinease reels with aluminum gears like the plague. If you do get a chinease reel when get one with an aluminum frame and side plate with brass gears.

I remember that. They added some 5 year service contract to justify the price increase for the USDM Steez CT.

hit the other sellers on amazon tab and see if there is an amazon japan option Well now this is a game changer. I’ve been scrolling most of the day and it’s clear the current global state of fishing equipment goes like this; *insert company name here* JDM: Here’s all of our premium level equipment ...

You guys doing the pickle jar crank with your wrist twist or just taking the finger tips and turning the lock nut? I used to do the pickle jar crank until I cracked a cheap rod decades ago and switched to the finger tight method. Never been a problem since. Finger tight, I think it’s just the qc/ma...

Re: Daiwa Tatula MQ LT.

Or maybe, just a maybe, they sell the ones that not quite pass QC or B grade from brand name manufacturers. I would think twice before spending money on higher end reel or 200 and up from this market. I’d rather spend 20-30 bucks more from Japan vendor just for a piece of mind. It's the same stuff ...

Re: Daiwa Tatula MQ LT.

What I don't understand is why I can buy USDM reels in USD on Aliexpress for way less than anywhere in the US. A lot of counterfeits on Ali. Not reels though. They'll put SHIMANO on a ad for some chineasium reel and the reel itself won't look like any Shimano reel. They also will borrow styling ele...
