I'm new to the big swimbait world and started out throwing 40lb braid to a leader thinking that would be enough. well I was wrong and sent a 8" Hudd sailing after a backlash. I use a Daiwa DX Swimbait rod and have been impressed with it so far. I got the 8' Extra heavy and for the length and power of the rod its surprisingly light. It has a 23 1/2" handle that's full cork. the sensitivity could be better but for $109 It is pretty good. I have thrown 5" jenko booty shaker...

New to The Game
I'm new to the Big Bait game and was wondering if anyone had experience with the Shimano Cardiff. I picked up the 400A for my dedicated swimbait combo. I paired it with a Daiwa DX swimbait rod (8ft extra heavy) just want to know peoples opinions. thx
