Re: Steez A Resurrection (they fixed it!!!)

I went out today and can confirm the click/tick is gone. I couldn't swap the spool bearing on the SV spool so I swapped the sideplate bearing and used a rays pe special long cast spool. Im still not getting good distance but the major issue is gone, It had to be one of the two bearings between the ...

Re: Steez A Resurrection (they fixed it!!!)

Bearings were not an issue on my end. When its bearings, its very easy to spot just by removing them and trying them on a bearing tester by applying a bit of pressure while spinning the bearing. You will feel a ticking vibration if its the bearing. All four of the stock ones I replaced had the rasp...

Re: Steez A Resurrection (they fixed it!!!)

Not sure if the click/tick is gone, running ceramic hybrids makes it hard to tell. It could very well be gone and if so I would recommend to anyone having my problems to swap in a 8x12x3.5 under the pinion and a 5x9x3 under the zero adjuster. a lot cheaper than a gear swap. I will probably swap in s...

Re: Steez A Resurrection (they fixed it!!!)

I had 2 Steez SV TW I ordered at the same time. One casted great...other was lacking. I found that the spool bearings were bone dry. A drop of oil to each bearing and the reel casted MUCH better. I tried that before replacing the stock bearings and didn't gain much. I'm pretty sure the bearing unde...

I wonder if your inductor is stuck. I don't see how its possible to cast on a setting of 2. Make a normal cast and then remove the side plate. See if the inductor is stuck outwards.
The inductor moves freely, its already dark here so ill do the casting and checking tomorrow.

Re: Steez A Resurrection (they fixed it!!!)

Steez SV TW is only casting 120 ft with a half ounce casting plug? What's the spool tension set to? What do the magnet rigs look like when the dial is set to max brake? There should be two markers or lines on the mag rings. Dial is at 2, no clue what the magnet rings look like. Has side to side pla...

Re: Steez A Resurrection (they fixed it!!!)

I have the same issue with a SV TW. I have spent close to 70 bucks on the four bearings from the spool to the pinion and the one under the zero adjuster. The only stock bearings left are the worm shaft and the handle side bearing. It has improved casting distance, before I could only get about 50-60...

Re: Zillion TW G Questions

Used mine for the whole season, no tick. Curious if somebody did get it, tho. Have not heard anyone complain about it on a Zillion as of yet. I don't believe the bearing had anything to do with the casting distance (unless you put some high viscocity oil in them). Bearings inside the steez are as g...
