Spinning reel modifications

I didn’t find out about how much I loved the Zpi aluminum knobs until after they were discontinued. Well Hedgehog studios did a collaboration with Zpi and made a limited run of them so I had to pick some up along with some other accent parts. Re: New US Market Poison Ultima

Another side note: I've seen people in some vidz (especially iCast stuff) say they thought the ML felt like a ML+... I don't think so at all. I think they were fooled by the crispness of the blank. Once you fish it, it feels like a true ML. Will have to see what size dropshot weight starts to push ...

Re: New US Market Poison Ultima

I might order another one If I do I might as well sell some of my other rods because I won't even bother fishing them I’m interested to hear your opinion on how it would perform as a dedicated drop shot rod and what the taper is like. I haven’t been this excited about a rod in a while. But this one...

Re: New Stradic Fm

I've seen other photos of the FM where it has a white frame and rotor, like certain previous Stradic versions. Yeah I seen those too, I think that’s just the lighting in the pictures. If you watch the videos that were released it looks a lot nicer than the pictures. Is that the same as this? https:...

New Stradic Fm

I was looking at deals on the Stradic Fl’s and came across a picture of the new Stradic Fm. Doesn’t look much different besides the spool cuts are now diagonal vs vertical and the spool lip is now chrome. The link is broken now so I’m thinking it was accidentally added to the website.

Re: 21 Exsence A 4000 ($100 off) vs Vanquish

I have the previous model Vanquish and I love that reel. It is the smoothest spinner I own and has a buttery drag. For reference also own the old and new model Exsence and the Certate. As for the Vanquish not feeling as solid as the Exsence I can agree with that. The Vanquish is more of a finesse re...

Re: 2021 steez ags rods

Has anyone picked up the Ned rig rod yet? I’m thinking about picking one up, but just wondering if it’s an actual Light power or if it leans more towards ML. It would be nice if it could double as a drop shot rod In case anybody has information on this rod, I'd be interested as well. "Daiwa Steez A...

I know the hookup tackle recently had a couple other craftsman pride models in stock. Gives me hope that them or the tackle trap will get this one in!
Thanks for the heads up, I’ll keep an eye out

You can make your own out of junk plastics and jig skirting strands with a needle.
This is what I did, I think I have a post about it somewhere on here. $15 for 4 baits is a little too rich for my blood

Are they only available to order from Japan? Or is there going to be a run of them available for the US market? I think I see one of these in my future

Re: Major Craft Days 360

Has anybody noticed that the 6’10 L and the 6’4 ML spinning rods have 12 guides total in the guide train? That seems pretty excessive for such short rods. In my mind it would make them a little tip heavy and have a slower recovery. I’m sure they have a good reason for it, and the rods will still bal...

I voted for overhyped, even though I do love the sound they make. I have only had experience with the metanium dc, but I greatly prefer the zillion sv tw over it overall.

I like the roboworm rebarb hook. It’s a Gamakatsu hook and either comes in a light or medium wire

Re: Rod pairing with Stella FK

Another vote for the Steez 7’6 MML. Just make sure you seal the cork right when you get it. As for reels, unless you are against putting a Shimano reel on a Daiwa rod like some people I know are, either reel would work fine. The Stella will just make for a heavier combo. I have the Shimano Exsence o...
