Re: Maribou and Ned rod
Thanks to all for your help. I just got a good deal on a 6'10" Ark Reinforcer from TW which I'll use for my Ned rod. It looks like a St. Croix Victory will be my light hair jig rod.

Re: Maribou and Ned rod
Thanks, but a Steez is not in the budget. Looks like a Victory, Reinforcer and Expride B are the finalists. The Expride would be a no-brainer if I knew it could throw !/16 ouncers.

Re: Maribou and Ned rod
Thanks Falcon. Not familiar with that rod, I'll take a look. I'm new to the Marabou thing and figured the longer rod the better. I've been using a 6' GL3, but don't get the distance I would like. I bank fish most of the time. I like the Expride but it's lure rating starts at 1/8. I suppose I could p...

Re: Maribou and Ned rod
Thanks, but telling me "in my hands" is kind of vague. You talking tip softness, length, etc..? Can you be a little more specific? I'm looking for one rod that can do both well, not the perfect rod for each presentation. Thanks again.

Re: Maribou and Ned rod
Please excuse my ignorance, but what is the difference in a rod designed for a Marabou jig (1/16) and a Ned rig rod (1/8)? Isn't there one rod that can do both well? i.e. 7'3" or 7'10" Victory, 7'2" Expride B or 7'3" Reinforcer? Thanks again.

Re: Maribou and Ned rod
Please educate me regarding the differences in the two rods and their best uses. I'm not being contrary, I just don't know. I thought I was on the right track, but I'm far from being accomplished in these techniques. Thanks again.

Loking for a rod for these presentations. Narrowed down to three:
7'3" Ark Reinforcer, 7'2" Expride B and the new 13 Fishing Envy Black 3. Any thoughts. I'd like to know if any of these would have a soft enough tip section to fling lighter baits if I choose. Thanks for your help.

Are any of these reels capable of throwing heavier baits? Thanks.

Casting reel for the inexperienced
I've fished spinning gear all my life. The only experience I have with casting reel was an Ambassador 5500 many years ago. Backlashes kept me from using that type of reel. I realize the newer low profile reels make the learning curve much easier. I'm looking at the Curado DC, the Tatula Eli...

Re: Orochi XX vs. Expride vs Tatula Elite AGS for river smallies
I've decided to add a few higher $$ rods to the mix. Fenwich Legend X or Legend Elite and the MB Destroyer Addermine. Would the Addermine be to much rod for my smaller choices? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Re: Orochi XX vs. Expride vs Tatula Elite AGS for river smallies
Thanks ft. I know the general difference between the two tapers, but I was wondering about casting distance and accuracy for neds, small spin jigs and 1/8 tubes. Would either the Tatula Elite AGS or Orochi XX Shakyhead be more appropriate for that. I'm pretty much limited to bank fishing. Are the AG...
