Re: OSP Hardbaits

They are my favorite lure company by a wide margin. The Blitz Max series is true greatness. The Bent Minnow is also wonderful. The Power Dunk 57SP is a real treasure on clear water smallmouth lakes. The Asura II series is nice, I love the PL07 color and it is so hard to find.

Re: Which is your favorite rod company?

I seldom buy a factory rod. I much prefer fishing with my own builds. I only build for myself and closest friends, though. I’m a big fan of St. Croix blanks with a few Point Blank options being used for some techniques.

Re: Specifially, OSP EX DR

I fish both of these lures and they seem to run about a foot difference in depth on both 10 and 12lb Tatsu. I’m not sure that my catch rate goes down from the EX with the Max as it’s still a fairly compact crankbait. If I could only throw one of the two, it would be the Max. I see it as a special lu...

Re: Favorite type of topwater bait?

Walking baits are likely the most effective topwater style across a variety of conditions, but I am not sure they are my favorites. I’m often using topwater lures at the end of a long day of fishing. The Deps Buzzjets and Jackall Pompadours are very effective and easier on tired wrists. They are als...

Re: Whose Ready For light lines and Jerkbaits

I am in the process of building a rod specifically for light lines and small to medium jerkbaits as I really like fishing them. I like some of the deeper, suspending models. The mid-day, summer bite can be fantastic on these. I’m not sure why this class of lures is so overlooked.

Ditto Gator Tail worms.... lucky I have 100 packs to last rest of my Iife...
I have caught more bass over five pounds on Gator Tails than any other lure or bait.

It looks like the Imakatsu Iron Mouth is no longer in production. It’s my favorite walking bait.
