Any other thoughts on this? I usually have two jerkbait rods setup. One of them I plan to use for poppers in the morning...so thinking about running 30lb 131 braid to mono leader, and then the other jb rod running straight 12lb tatsu. Thoughts?

What line are you using?

I use 10 to 20# braid, depending on the size of the crankbait. Most times, I tie directly with no leader. Ive fished side-by-side with guys that were using flouro or mono and I've not been significantly out-fished, except for once, where the guy was just a better fisherman than me. :whistle: :lol: ...

30lb braid with a leader for deep cranking. Keeps my IPT up and also give me good feel at the end of long line.

Any special braid? 4 strand vs 8 strand vs 12? I know they say 8 strand is suppose to make less sound through guides and water...who knows.

I've tried so many lines for cranking. I've settled in with 20lbs braid with 6lbs diameter. So do you just go straight 20lb braid and no leader? no, I use flouro leaders up to 3' in length. surgeons knot to connect. the thin diameter braid cuts the water and gets additional depth out of the cranks....

Just curious what you all use for cranking? I've listened to lots of "experts" online lol...Lord knows they know a ton more than me though.
