Re: Floating Jerkbait?
Just picked up a Yozuri 3dr-x(f) floating minnow, should work great on my shallow Florida lakes for swimming over and ripping out of grass. Seems like typical yozuri high bang for the buck at $8

Re: Flick Shake Advice
I use the flick shake a lot with great results, it's not that complicated really. The 4.8 and 5.8 are the 2 most common sizes and probably all you'll ever need. I'm not a big believer in colors; green pumpkin, black, and red is about all I use. For weight I use 1/16 for shallow fish in tough, calm c...

Re: What’s up with Kistler rods??
They are not changing blank suppliers again that I’m aware of, the other thread is in regard to the recently added nitranium series which uses a US made blank rather than the Korean sourced blanks that’s used for the rest of the lines. As for the their pricing they’ve gone to a smoke and mirror show...

Re: New Steez A II vs High End Shimano’s
If there was one company that you'd think would have gearing dialed in you'd think it'd be Shimano. I ditched my curados a few years back after some gearing issues to go all in on daiwa.

Re: Need Help Deciding- Daiwa Tatula SV 70 OR Daiwa Tatula 80
Heard of a couple of people that needed to replace their spool bearings right out of the box as the stock ones in the 80 were squeaky garbage. Unsure why but I've read from more than a few people of them being very dry out of the box (as was mine), a quick oil and grease job and mine is still silky...

Re: Texas vs Jika Rig?
Were you getting hit on the drop or was the fish picking it up off the bottom? Fall rate may be a factor here, Jika rig with same weight will fall faster than t rig

Re: Product News
How you finding the durability on them to be? As a terminal nerd with mild ocd I'm always looking for better ways to organize. I've had one for around a year, (think the XL) that I keep all of my small trout stuff in, (split rings, snaps, spoons, etc) So far it has proven to be a little tank. There...

Re: When's the last time....
About 3 years ago, bank fishing around around lots of trees and bushes I caught a branch on my backcast and poof, she done. This was right after I arrived to the spot after a fairly long hike and was the only rod I brought, ay caramba!
