I have a few rods I really like with exposed threads on the reel seat. Is it possible for me to add a form of a lockdown nut onto them without stripping the guides? I was thinking of taking an EVA nut, cutting it down one side than putting it on that way.

How's the FMJ balance with something like a Steez A?

It feels perfect with a Steez A. With the finger thing it balances on the wrapping right above the locknut but I don’t have much line on the reel rn.
