Re: Daiwa SS Air TW

Yes, I meant to write about "Boost" is Fool proof. And SS air having same kind of effect.. I have tested quite shortly SV Boost braked Zillion. My impression was that it is quite "Fool Proof". Can throw with bad technic, without backlashes. I was having a feeling that relaxed throw was taking my 28g...

Re: Daiwa SS Air TW

I understand ss air brake similar to jvelth74.
That brake is Daiwa's "Fool Proof brake".

Re: Daiwa SS Air TW

What might be the point?

From Daiwa illustry I can see:
Spool axle is shorten than before, it is good.
Inductor cup is not moving so far than before, it is good.
Palming plate is 1,4mm nearer to rod's center point, is it good?

It is not BFS unless you are casting a chicken feather
BFS gear are great. Every fisherman should have at least one set.
It does not matter, what or how light lures you want to throw with it.

Re: Should I switch to left handed retrieve for BFS?

It is very simple, you have options:
- learn retrieving with left
- learn throwing with left

Re: Daiwa Steez ct with slp works 700s g1 spool

I have feeling that original brake cup (inductor) is not good. It makes too big difference to brake power at beginning vs end of cast.
I like to say, my reel works much better after changed Ray's studio Brake cup.

Re: Daiwa Pixy vs BFS

Only quick comment from me. I think BFS is fishing by casting a light lures, with equipment that works well for that. I don't understand why talking about Drop shotting.. The BFS movement began with the desire to fish finesse applications on casting gear. In bass fishing terms, this includes many v...

Re: Chibi Gantarel Deadrise

You can see it used for pike by a guy who doesn't know how to palm a fishing reel. https://youtu.be/WW7mo3lfv0k What you mean..how do you know, that man don't know how to palm a reel? Maybe he just don't find any advantages, in pike fishing.. Personally, palming grip, I have not found enough advant...

Re: Why Magnetic Braking System Than Centrifugal Braking On BFS reel?

I might have ceramic bearings in my aftermarket shallow spool for tatula 100hsl. I believe that tatula spool is lighter than BK2 spool.

Re: Why Magnetic Braking System Than Centrifugal Braking On BFS reel?

This BFS in FUN :-D In many ways...but I LOVE it. Brakes: I like Shimano's FTB. I have Scorpion BFS. I like, very good reel. It do what it should do. I have a couple Daiwa's. I am not so pleased about moving induktor. Especially SV spool AIR-induktor ON/OFF-movement. Mag-Z is great. 3D gives allread...

Re: Chibi Gantarel Deadrise

One thing is superclear, palming grip is not good for throwing. Distance nor accuracy.

I don't know what I miss, when I fish a pike, by normal grip from rod.
