What size are you talking about?

Thanks.

Re: Reel Handles

I loved the pearl and laminated handles - I own both in pocket knives. Everytime I use my knives - whether to open a mailed package or strip the wire from a test circuit - I always appreciate thier beauty. Can you do the same for real handle...and how much might this be? I am not requesting exotic m...

Re: Braid maintenance for spinning?

I am happily using Fireline 15# on a spinning reel. Is there anything I can do to prevent line twist related problems with it? Does the old trick of towing the line behind a moving boat work to remove twist? Thanks. As the others suggest - I agree that straightening out the line while idleing acros...

Re: Line on Reels 0n Airplanes ????

Just don't try to carry your reels on. If you check them in your luggage, they may inspect it but I really don't imagine TSA would strip the line off your reels. Might not hurt to carry a few spools of line just in case though. ;) "mhood"...it's even worse than you might imagine: I tried it - reels...

Brake System with the Longest Cast...

Personally, I prefer inertial brakes for fishing...most of the time. However, sometimes I need to cast a plug a long ways, so I break out my 25-year-old Shimano Bantam and "get medieval". However, between the two braking technologies I’ve listed, there are several other proprietary technologies (i.e...

Do you mean Colt 1911? (I really like those and Browning HPs - and thier clones)

Thanks.

Why Can't Plastic be made Good Enough?

All the time, I hear - concerning fishing reels - that "Plastic is Inferior". Nevertheless, soldiers and policemen the world over trust thier lives to plastic-framed weapns like the "Glock" - a handgun exalted for it's reliability and durability. Why can't we do the same for fishing reels? Just curi...

Re: Newbie

Dipsay, Nice to see you are excited about this forum - it's a good one! I think you'll find the people here are very serious about the art of fishing - just like the ABWF forum. Because of your hobby (i.e., repairing reels abused by Gulf Wadefishermen), I think you may have a lot to contribute here....

Re: Best lower $100's casting reel

.... I would be very carefull with the Citica however. I believe it is a replacement for the original Curado and i can say from experience that an original Curado is NOT up to catching hard chargers like Steelhead and salmon on any sort of regular basis. They are good Bass, Pike and walleye reels b...

Re: Results of Cruxis Survey

Thanks for the detailed report!! I'm glad that you enjoy the reel. I hope you enjoy it for years to come :) Thanks for letting us try it. The Cruxis "opened my eyes" so-to-speak - it showed me a class of reel that I didn't think existed (i.e., an excellent 200-class reel for much less than $100). A...
