Sol/Fuego vs. Chronarch MG
Sol/Fuego vs. Chronarch MG, which one would you guy's perfer for casting senko's and small texa's rigged worm's on as well as small jerkbaits. Which is the best value? I own mostly shimano's but have seen a few of these daiwa's and had a change of heart, I know my shimano's are built with quality in...

Has anyone used the newer shimano cardiff, if so how does it feel and is it a good casting reel. Does it require alot of force to cast or is it is easy, how is the wieght, and the quality and will it last?
Why is it less then the calcutta when it has more features?

Re: my dream combo
Hey Boone why do you like the Chronarch over the Scorpion, the Scorpion has 4x4 brake. I havent owned either so give me alittle insite.
By the way ShimanoMan, I love shimano's service as well, and their quality.

Well if you ever manage to make it out here give her a try, erie is a smallmouth heaven. Shark fishing sound's fun, by the way I am purchasing 2 new reel's, higher end. What do you suggest the shimano Scorpion MG, or Daiwa Alpha's. I plan on putting a new handle and knobs, and maybe a new spool. Spot

Re: Slug-go's are awesome!!
If you want to try and fish the thicker cover throw that same bait teax's rigged into the thicker stuff. Use a bullet head 1/8-3/8, and a 2/0 or 3/0 worm hook. Think that slugo's work good tie on a 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 senko texa's rigged wieghtless.

Re: my dream combo
Well I think you are right ShimanoMan, I have considered it many time's. I try to get out as much as possible, when I can't go on my boat I wade in the shallow's for old 'mossback. Do you fish St. Clair Often, if so what do you find to be most productive in these hot summer mouth's, I use alot of st...

Re: Opinions on the new Viento...
I think it is great that a company has tried a new concept, the twitchin bar is very cool, but like you guy's said it seem's poorly built. For a price of 200, it is a little high. I can get a sol or a fuego for 200 a few places, they are lighter, and feature higher end magforce system's. I don't lik...

Re: my dream combo
Hey ShimanoMan I know what you are saying I live 200 feet away from Lake St. Clair, one of the best smallmouth waters in michigan. I just dont like the city, as far as amount of people, everyone being in a rush, and noise, I'd much rather be in the country ya know. Hey Boone, you arent the youngest ...

Re: my dream combo
Simple, a 6'8, M GLX Jig 'n Worm rod paired up on a TD-Z100M, TD Z.
But that is just my back up, for my main rod i'd have a Daiwa I'ze Millionaire Light 103, with a MegaBass Super Destoryer 6'9 M.
But in being honest I may never own either, for awhile.
