Re: This website is evil
:O Sounds like you had alot of money to play with. I can't wait till I get my own quantum pti, it looks soooo sexy and from what I hear performs damn well. Is the St. Croix rod and the Quantum pti reel really well balanced together? I was thinking of getting the reel and the Shimano Crucial if money...

Re: Gas prices and fishing?
Hell yes its been a hinderance. I live only about 15-20 minutes away from the nearest lake, but with gas about 3.19 here it's still alot to pay considering I normally pickup my cousin who lives another 15 minutes away when I fish. So its usually a good 10 bucks just to go fishing. It may not sound l...

Re: Suggestions for new rod
I can speak for Cabelas rods, I bought a Cabelas Classic spinning rod a month ago and its performing very nicely for me, and it was only 20 bucks! The action is really great and I haven't had any problems with the big fish either. I'm sure the Fish Eagle II's are even better. My next rod will prob b...

Re: Cabela's new XML Ti spinning rod
glad someone posted something on this rod. I was really thinking about getting it. It seems to be just as good as the G-loomis rod but about 200 bucks cheaper. The guides are cool, and the real seat is even better and the cork and padded thumb rest is pretty nice. I've been to Cabelas a few weeks ba...

Re: River salmon fishing
I picked up a 8 foot Pflueger Salmon Rod. I'm really confused on what a "noodling" rod is, the pictures on google aren't helping me either. Is this a noodling rod? and more importantly how is this rod intended to be used? I can post pics of it if anyone wants. I got it for 10 bucks at a garage sale ...

Re: Best bet for creek/reservoir trout?
I went river trout fishing about a month ago. I had alot of stuff for catching bass and was clueless on how to catch trout on anything other than flies. I bought a few inline spinners, a spoon, and a few flies from walmart just to try. The river was clear and I couldn't see anything :S heading back ...

Mister Twister Exude Worms
Anyone try these new worms yet? I bought a pack of pumpkin w/ pepper seed? in color and havent used them a whole lot yet but got a few bites on them. So far they seem like they have great potential and seem pretty durable while being great for finesse. Just wondering if anyones used them and what co...

Re: Turtle's are 'Bastiges'
be honest.. you were trying to catch the turtle just kidding. Those swimbaits are amazing looking, I'd be very interested in buying them if they werent 11 bucks though. I bet Matt could make a killing if he sold them in per say 3 packs for 14.99 though.
