Re: Testing a Phenix Blank - A Simple Build, Potential for Lore, Phenix's Ultra Swimbait B-USB-C 790H

Took Mine out today and its so confidence inspiring. I did not build it, I had it built by Otterods I actually got two hits and let me tell you the first one scared the snot out of my lure. I read your review several times and i am glad I did. I initially thought that this was only a soft plastic bl...

What was the model? If you visit their website, it should be up to date with their latest lines and offerings. Kistler announces everything during ICAST or in that time frame and don't normally have anything else new during the early part of the calendar year.

Re: Do you plan on buying the iPhone of reels aka the Z Limitbreaker?

No. There is no point in having a reel that you cannot unlock its full potential without the App that will only work in Japan. The reel comes locked in Standard cast mode and requires registration with the APP to unlock the other cast modes. It is stated in the specs the APP is not supported outsid...

The CHEAPEST ROD BUILD

what’s the cheapest you’ve built a rod and how did it perform?
I’m considering a ultra minimalist rod build

What a Surprise

I Imagine that with all the new goodies coming out a lot of people will be selling off some gear.
This is not the case for me. I’ve spent the last day cleaning out my closet and I have found some things I forgot I had. Lol

Re: Which ROD?

Understood. Thanks! Have you considered building your own rod or having one built ? In my experience i should have started down this rod long ago. If you build it or have it built you’re getting exactly what you want and sometimes the price offset isn’t that bad. But like anything to tier component...

Re: Which ROD?

Dobyns rod lack sensitivity and when you consider the asking price there are better alternatives in my humble opinion. At one time I was all over the place trying this brand and that, you know the popular rods. I’ve tried Dobyns and even contacted them for advice in their line up on a jig rod. The r...

Re: Steez A II Tws

Some say that the Steez hlc spool is a crazy horse wild child I think it’s not so bad but !! You need to take your time and get it dialed in for how you fish. Right on brother, thanks for your input. Would it be a worthwhile install in an OG Zillion and what lures and techs do you think it would ex...
