Re: Winter 21/22 Projects
Cal,
Did you cut that rear carbon grip and if so, what did you use to cut it?
Thanks,
Joe

Drakestar,
Don’t miss the silver lining, it’ll be the first time she’s relieved you’re just buying tackle!

If Plat doesn’t allow it I live in Japan and can hook it up.

Re: 2023 SLP Zillion
I ended up ordering a Slp Zillion in 7:1 on May 6. There were no discounts being here in Japan. I paid full price 32,000 JPY for the body, 14,000 JPY for a boost spool and 11,000 JPY for a SLP 95mm carbon handle. I’m sure it won’t be any better then the regular Zillion but that’s ok, it’ll be beauti...

I looked on Plat and it appears you can’t buy just the gear set. I’d recommend shooting them a message.

Re: Daiwa IMZ HD introduced
My wife swung into the local tackle shop here and sent me a pic of the price tag. Street price here is $775 for the IMZ and $350 for the Steez AII. The IMZ had already sold out and the Steez AII is only orderable in 6.3:1 based on stock with Daiwa JP. I’m curious what she was doing in there though…s...

Re: Steez AGS Then Sensor and Megabass X-Bites
I have the X-Bites and love it although it doesn’t throw well enough for me at the low range. I plan to grab an Evergreen Black Raven soon for that but have also considered The Sensor for the same reason. Joe I just bought the Sensor... :big grin: Let us all know what you think of it. I would’ve al...

Re: 2023 SLP Zillion
Personally I really like it. At an MSRP of 32,000 JPY the street price will probably be somewhere around 27,500 JPY. I’m game to pick up a spool and handle to add to it. It would be a tad cooler if the TWS was black as well.

Re: Daiwa Pixy vs BFS
Interestingly enough I’m wrapping up a five day trip in Tokyo. JDM Fenwicks outnumber most of the other rod manufacturers by a large margin in every Tackleberry I’ve been in. I wish I knew more about them or researched them before I came, I could have grabbed some for rock bottom prices.

Re: Every new Abu looking the same is incredibly dull and boring
I kind of hope we’re saying the same thing about the new Zillion platform in 15 years. I didn’t think a frame could feel more right to me than a TD-Z but it sure does.
