Well I'm glad I'm not the only one secretly using a spinning reel seat with a baitcasting reel mounted.

There's something about palming without a trigger that so much better.

I myself do like using plastic/graphite reels, because they're cheap. Personally I find the internal plastic parts to be fairly on par with a majority of reels.
