Re: Steez 100 brake clicker not working

Ok. When I have the plate off I can see part #9. The rest can be accessed after removing #10?

Re: Steez 100 brake clicker not working

Thank you. I had the schematic. What I can't figure out is how to get to parts 2 thru 8 to inspect?

Re: Steez 100 brake clicker not working

Try to snug the mag dial screw tighter. If it continues, the entire palm plate needs to be disassembled and either that wishbone clicker under the dial needs grease, or the mag dial needs to be replaced due to wear. While I like to tinker with things I am fearful of causing damage when I don’t know...

The Roro spool is legit for the Steez CT. Cast great and I will echo the price to performance ratio. You get two spools (including the versatile stock spool) and a clicking drag for less money (other than the TW sale).
Ok. I'll look into that.

Re: New Steez Air Tw?

MSRP doesn't apply to JDM reels. Tackle Warehouse bought them from overseas, not Diawa USA. You're gonna find better prices on JDM reels overseas typically, so I don't imagine they sold well at TW with the reels being $150 more expensive than ordering from Japan. That I didn't know that about MSRP....

Weighted worms

I have always fished 4" and 5" Senkos Texas rigged and weightless. I was out yesterday and the grass was thick in some spots so I decided to put a bullet weight on that Texas rig. Low and behold I caught fish consistently. After thinking about it some I started wondering if the Senko was the best ch...

Re: New Steez Air Tw?

You also don’t need a Steez Air for dedicated BFS with many cheaper options out there but hey this is TT. An issue is that the two baits I referenced are ones that I use often. If they are working I can fish them all day. In that scenario I want to be using a great reel. I should probably keep usin...

Japan shows are Jan/Feb timeframe, if you can wait might want to keep an eye out.
I didn’t know that. Thanks.

Re: New Steez Air Tw?

You said you already have three CT’s. Correct. I have them on rigs with slightly heavier (7 to 8 grams) and casting distance is better there than what the Air gets. Generally my purchase decisions are not driven by price but by what works best for the application. When I asked about the CT for BFS ...

Re: New Steez Air Tw?

Again, I’d recommend just searching Steez CT BFS. I did and found posts you also made a year ago asking about this same topic. There’s a lot of info out there. A BFS spool/brake combination will greatly improve BFS size casting for a Steez CT and will cost you less than buying a new Steez Air. The ...

Re: New Steez Air Tw?

TW closing out the reel ($399 for a $619 retail reel) suggests to me that they’re trying to purge inventory to #1) Focus sales on the more popular CT (they did the same with the 700 models when the USDM CT 70 was coming out) and #2) There’s a future reel coming to replace it next winter (Japan expo...

Re: New Steez Air Tw?

Are you sure they're being closed out? Often these reels get cheaper on the JDM market as the demand drops. It's supposed to be about the same price as the Steez Limited, which is what I've seen lately. I was assuming that they were being closed out because TW had them marked clearance and some Jap...

Re: New Steez Air Tw?

If you do some searching, some recommend just getting an aftermarket spool for the CT. I would be an advocate of that approach. A lot cheaper and more flexible than trying to track down an Air. If you need a RH XXH model Air (TW sale is only the RH H) they are easy to find from certain JDM retailer...

Re: New Steez Air Tw?

Air didn’t seem popular at all compared to the hugely successful CT models Well, I have three of the CTs and only one of the Air so I would agree with that statement. I have two baits that are always ready to go on my deck. Total weight of each is about 5.5 grams. I have tried them with the Air, CT...
